French Fries

Description

French fries, chips, finger chips, french-fried potatoes, or simply fries, are batonnet or allumette-cut deep-fried potatoes of disputed origin from Belgium and France.

They are prepared by cutting potatoes into even strips, drying them, and frying them, usually in a deep fryer.

Ingredients

• Frying oil
• Potato 3 pices
• Salt

Steps

• Slice potato to strips and leave in cold water for 40 minutes
• Rince potato slices and remove exces water
• Boil oil up to 120 Celsius and boil potato strips for 3-5 min
• Let it cool down and remove remaining oil from potato strips
• Boil oil up to 200 Celsius and boil potato strips for 5-8 min up to gold and crunchy finish
• Let it cool down and remove remaining oil from potato strips
• Salt to yours likings and serve
